Roman Shades

Complete Your Vision

Roman Shades have always made a huge statement in home décor magazines and the trend is only getting bigger. Whether your colour palette includes bold colours or neutrals, these window coverings work beautifully in any space. They are a perfect opportunity to add some pattern, texture or colour if your space needs a little uplifting.

Roman shades are available in a hobbled style or a few different flat styles. The flat style can have the batons at the front, back or without them completely. This creates a soft-tailored look when lowered and defined folds when raised. The popular hobbled style is defined by soft fabric folds which cascade from top to bottom.

Hunter Douglas Design Studio Roman Shades

Blind Advantage is pleased to be one of Hunter Douglas’ exclusive dealers carrying the new Design Studio Roman Shades.

You can choose from four distinctive styles, each designed and crafted with Hunter Douglas quality and innovation. Explore their exclusive collection of over 300 artfully-curated fabrics, sophisticated textures, patterns, stripes, rich solids and sheers. Then, reflect your personal style by adding coordinating valances, tapes and trims, making your windows truly unique to you.

Design Studio fabrics are woven in widths that allow shades to be made up to 96″ wide without being interrupted by seams. Every item includes high quality construction. Their innovative cording system reduces access to the rear cords for enhanced child safety. Clear rings coordinate with all linings and sheers. Stiff Batten tunnels are sewn to keep battens from slipping out. And all hems are double turned for a custom finished look, with bottom hems weighted for a smooth appearance.

Whether paired with a Roman blind or used independently, a valance can bring a layer of sophistication to your windows. Fabrics can be chosen to either match or complement the fabric of the shade itself. Design Studio valances are available in 8″, 12″ or 16″.
